Rockingham Park is situated in Corby at the heart of the UK, 12 miles north of the A14
(A1-M1 link) providing direct access to the A43 (T) A14, M1, A1, M6 and M11 motorways.
Corby is a major distribution and manufacturing centre with a large skilled labour force and major
development including Euro-hub which has attracted businesses including the Comet Group who occupy a
275,000-sq/ft distribution centre and Wincanton who occupy a 250,000-sq/ft warehouse, both with dedicated
rail heads. Gefco UK Ltd and Auto link import and export cars from the town and J Sainsbury occupy a
256,000-sq/ft distribution centre.
As part of the major regeneration of the town further significant commercial developments are planned
and further major business are expected to join 1,500 companies already based in Corby which include
Aquascutum, Oxford University Press, Weetabix, Solway Foods, Chemence, Du Pont and
Cardinal Health. A new station and train service is operating as at the end of February 2009.
SITUATION
Rockingham Park is situated on the northern side of Corby on the corner of Gretton Brook Road and
Rockingham Road with access to the scheme off Princewood Road.
This is a gateway access point to Corby from the west and north off the A6116 western ring road and is
on the main approach to Rockingham Castle and Rockingham Performance Centre both of which are major
regional and national attractions.
